The FUTA Alumni Sports Festival 2025, held from August 25th to 28th, 2025, was a success; bringing together students from various schools of the university.
This year’s event built on the momentum of the inaugural festival held last year 2024 under the leadership of Engr. Adeyemi Bello.
Key Highlights:*
1. The festival saw an impressive turnout of esteemed guests, including:
– Vice-Chancellor of FUTA
– Deputy Vice-Chancellors (Academic and Development)
– Representative of the Commissioner for Education, Ondo State
– Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Ondo State
– Deans, Head of Departments and Directors
– National Executive Committee (NEC) and National Working Committee (NWC) members.
2. The festival featured different sports competitions, School of Computing had an aggregate score of 19 points to win the First position. School of Logistics and Innovation Technology which had 15 points, came second and the School of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology SAAT with an aggregate score of 13 points came third.
Apart from football, students also competed in basketball competition as well as the male and female relay competitions.
The competition which is aimed at identifying & support talents among the young undergraduates also provide opportunities to support the sport center with necessary materials and facilities.
