*Comrade McBOLOUS Takes a Life Aluta E Partner in Comradic Style*
Every great movement begins with a single action. For some, it starts with a protest, a campaign, or a struggle for a cause. For Comrade McBOLOUS, it began with a WhatsApp message.
In January 2017, she sent a simple request to the School Governor of the School of Health and Health Technology (SHHT), asking to be added to the faculty WhatsApp group. Like many student leaders balancing academic and political responsibilities, the message went unanswered. Days turned into weeks, and it wasn’t until February 4th that a response finally arrived.
By then, she had already found another way into the group and politely told him not to bother anymore. Curious, he asked a question that would unknowingly change the course of both their lives:
_”I don’t even know you. Have we met before?”_
_Her answer was simple: “No, I don’t know you either.”_
What could have ended there became the beginning of a conversation. He asked if she would be attending the MTS class on the 7th of February 2017. She replied that she wouldn’t because it was her birthday. Not one to miss an opportunity to connect with a fellow student, he asked her to describe her hostel so he could stop by and celebrate with her.
That birthday visit became their first meeting.
Neither of them knew that a casual conversation between two strangers from the same faculty would blossom into a friendship, survive the challenges of university life, and eventually become a love story worth telling.
On one side was a young man whose name had become synonymous with student leadership in the Federal University of Technology, Akure.
From serving as School Governor of SHHT to becoming FUTASU Financial Secretary, Class of 2021 Chairman, and occupying several influential positions within the student community, Comrade McBOLOUS was a familiar figure across campus. His passion for service, leadership, and advocacy earned him respect among students and staff alike.
On the other side was a brilliant and focused student from the Department of Physiology, whose calm strength, intelligence, and unwavering support would later become the steady force behind the comrade.
Though they belonged to different departments—Biomedical Technology and Physiology—they shared the same faculty, the same campus, and eventually, the same dreams.
What started with a delayed WhatsApp reply grew into countless conversations, shared experiences, moments of laughter, seasons of growth, and memories that would shape their future together. Through academic pressures, leadership responsibilities, victories, setbacks, and the uncertainties of life after graduation, they remained connected.
Today, the story has come full circle.
The comrade who mobilized students, coordinated meetings, and championed causes has now embarked on his most important union yet. In true comradic fashion, Comrade McBOLOUS has successfully negotiated, ratified, and implemented a lifelong partnership agreement with his Aluta-E partner.
The struggle is over. The motion has been moved, seconded, and unanimously adopted.
And as family, friends, colleagues, comrades, and loved ones gather to witness this historic union, we celebrate not just a wedding, but the beautiful journey of two people whose paths crossed through a simple WhatsApp message and whose hearts found a permanent home in each other.
The congress is in session, and the agenda is love…
