The FUTA family gathered in Atlanta, Georgia, on 23 May 2026 for the FUTA Connect United States Reunion 2.0, bringing together alumni, University leadership, and stakeholders united by a common passion for the continued advancement of the Federal University of Technology, Akure.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji, called on alumni across the world to continue giving back through mentorship, research collaborations, academic partnerships, and innovative initiatives that will benefit generations of FUTA students.
Participants were inspired by an engaging presentation from Professor Esther Titilayo Akinlabi, who spoke on leadership, career growth, global networking, collaboration, and the enduring importance of character and values in achieving lasting success.
Special appreciation goes to Adeyinka Olaseinde (Sir Newton) for coordinating the reunion, Mr. Kayode Okunola and the Planning Committee for delivering an excellent event, and Dr. Olaitan, Council Representative, for his invaluable guidance and continued support of alumni engagement.
The reunion reaffirmed one clear message: wherever FUTA alumni are across the world, they remain committed to giving back, strengthening the alumni network, and contributing meaningfully to the University’s global excellence.
